Applying for funding from the Foundation
Currently, the Foundation’s collaboration partners are sponsored and managed by one or more of the directors as we do not have an executive function.
In order to discuss potential collaboration first raise an initial enquiry through the email address shown in the Contact Us section (funding.request@redanfoundation.org.au) with a general explanation of your project and objective.
If we decide to pursue discussions then we will begin a thorough due diligence process both on your organisation and on your project. Some of the initial questions that you might like to consider and address are:
-
State what you propose to do and achieve if the funding is provided having regard to our investment philosophy (please limit this to one paragraph).
-
Tell us about your organisation including its governance, and objectives and track record.
-
Describe how the activity aligns with the Redan Foundation’s current focus areas of assistance in the community.
-
What are the drivers for the activity? Why now? Why you and why in this way?
-
How would support by the Foundation contribute to your work overall?
-
How will you know if you have been successful? How do you plan to evaluate the activity undertaken?
-
Outline the actions that you intend to take to achieve your objectives, setting out key milestones and the timeframe for the project.
-
Are there any other groups that you are working with on this activity? Could any of your activities be better done by others or in conjunction with others?
-
What input or support from outside the Foundation would you ideally like to have and are you able to obtain it for yourselves?
-
Has this sort of activity been organised before by you? If so, what have you learned from the experience?
-
If relevant, how will the activity be sustained once the contribution from the Foundation has been expended?
-
Please set out the costs of the activity showing administration overheads separately.
Our funding commitments will be in the range of $20,000 (early stage and pilot projects) up to $100,000. We will consider providing multiyear or repeating commitments, subject to continued success of the collaboration partnership.
